How to slow the aging process when life is stressful

At some point in our life, we will all age. However, the aging process can be slowed down since it is a natural body process that cannot be avoided or stopped. Understanding how the aging process works is important in determining how to slow it down.

Cells within the human body make up various body organs in the body that serve different body functions. As body tissues wear out, the cells undergo a process known as cell division producing new cells for growth and repair. Cell division occurs but stops at a certain point and cells die or malfunction leading to aging.

Apart from poor sleep, poor health conditions, smoking and eating a healthy diet, stress is one of the main factors that fastens the aging process. Stress can be caused by a number of things like the environment you are in, what you ingest into your body, as well as anxiety. Daily life anxiety like the pressure to do something or longing for something can be combated by the below ways so as to slow down the aging process

1. Use anti aging creams
Skincare anti-aging products like creams contain anti-aging properties that prevent water loss and slow down the loss of collagen and elastin. Hydration ensures that the skin maintains its elasticity reducing sagging and wrinkles that appear.  The best anti-aging cream offers a solution to what is lacking on the skin, stimulating the regeneration of cells and produces the essential components that maintain a younger complexion. Creams like Aphrodite anti-aging cream made of natural extracts and enzymes are a great choice to slow aging.

2.  Brain stimulation
Chronic stress levels have been known to age the brain since they disrupt the normal functioning of the brain. Studies have shown that this can also lead to the development of Alzheimer’s disease. Many people with a habit of reading, writing and keeping their brains active have been found to rarely suffer from mental challenges in their old age.

3.  Get enough sleep
Sleeping allows the cells in the body to self-clean excreting any residues and toxins that might interfere with the normal functioning of body organs twice as fast as when one is awake. Studies show that common health issues like heart disease, diabetes and Alzheimer’s can be prevented by sleeping. You need to sleep for at least 7.5 to 8 hours.

4.  Physical and mental exercise
An active body has lower chances of suffering from diseases such as stroke, heart disease, depression, and dementia. Make time for physical exercises every week for around 30-45 minutes daily. You can take a walk or join a training program which will increase your physical strength, tone your muscles, tighten your skin reducing the sagging and make you look and feel young.   However, avoid over-exercising when you are stressed due to the production of stress hormones which might intensify the aging process. Mental exercises like meditation and yoga are a great alternative since they focus on the breathing, relaxation, and calmness of the brain and mind reducing distress and anxiety. They reduce the production of stress hormones slowing the aging process.

5.  Healthy eating
Ensure that you feed on nutrient-dense fresh foods avoiding fat, refined sugar and flour products to maintain a healthy skin and prevent wrinkles.

Maintain a healthy and happy life that is stress-free in whichever way possible.
