Karl Lagerfeld, legendary designer for Chanel and Fendi passed away in Paris yesterday ending some fashion era and leaving us with some iconic design and moments we will remember forever. Below you can enjoy 10 my favourite designs and some important fashion moments.

Lagerfeld originally from Germany, left his country to learn fashion in France and started his career at Balmain. He joined Chanel in 1983, having on his account designs for Chloe, Fendi and others luxury brands. As a face of Chanel for 36 year he become iconic fashion creator and transformed Chanel into the timeless fashion house we know today.

Although at the beginning of his adventure with Chanel he didn't wow the critics, with time he transformed this fashion house in one of the best selling brands in the world. He transformed classic tailored tweed suit and little black dress from Coco Chanel, giving them new life and paying more attention to accessories. Chanel became brand that every one want to have in his wardrobe.

He was also the first designer to collaborate with H&M in 2004. And he showed collection inspired in his unique monochrome look. Lagerfeld was famous not just for his designs, but for jaw-dropping sets. Each fashion show was a new world of experiences, you could never expect where he will take you. There were space ships, beach, futuristic inspirations, even supermarket.

Without any doubt he was one of the most influential fashion designers ever! True inspiration.
