The second day of Bogota Fashion Week was a very long one for me, as this day I had my talk about Polish fashion at the Market Experience and I was attending visit of the Polish trade mission at the fair, but it was all worth the fatigue, since this day culminated with several interesting fashion shows.
No doubt among my favorites this year were Faride Ramos, Mulierr and Isabel Henao and below you can read my comments about these collections.
El segundo día de Bogota Fashion Week fue un día bastante largo para mi, ya que este día me tocó mi charla sobre moda polaca y visita de misión comercial polaca dentro de feria, pero valió la pena el cansancio, ya que este día culminó con varios desfiles interesantes.
Sin duda entre mis favoritos este año fueron Faride Ramos, Mulierr y Isabel Henao y aquí os comparto mis comentarios y la colección fotografiada por nuestro fotógrafo Julian Carvajal.

FARIDE RAMOS
Faride always creates interesting collections, but this was so far undoubtedly my favorite one. Behind the name “Prohibited Games” we could see a collection inspired by the games of childhood and geometry, straight lines, oversize garments and men’s cuts. Without doubt great tailoring and impeccable finishes, anticipating what is going to be trend in the next seasons. The show proved to be perfect for Faride’s vision, not surprisingly, she was chosen by Nina Garcia as the best emerging designer at this year’s Bogotá Fashion Week and received the “American Express Innovation Award.”
Faride siempre nos muestra colecciones interesantes, pero esta sin duda fue hasta ahora mi colección favorita. Detrás del nombre “Juegos Prohibidos” pudimos ver una colección inspirada en los juegos de la infancia y geometría, lineas rectas, prendas oversize y cortes masculinos. Sin duda una sastrería y acabados impecables, adelantando lo que va a ser tendencia en las próximas temporadas. El show demostró perfecto la visión de Faride, no hay que sorprenderse que fue elegida por Nina García, como la mejor diseñadora emergente en esta edición del Bogotá Fashion Week y recibió el “Premio American Express a la Innovación”.
ISABEL HENAO
Isabel Henao is already a well recognized designer in Colombia and she is known for her very feminine, subtle collections and her love for a detail. That collection punctually was really interesting, because I loved how Isabel showed the perfect fusion between the female universe and the masculine touch in her silhouettes. I loved the perfectly structured jackets, drawing all the attention to the exaggerated shoulders of the 80’s.
This collection Shangri La was inspired by the Himalayas and Tibetan culture. We could see flowing silhouettes based on geometric figures, pleats and light ultra feminine textiles like silk combined with cashmere or velvet.
Isabel Henao ya es un diseñadora con posición bien establecida en Colombia y se caracteriza por unas colecciones muy femeninas, sutiles y su amor por el detalle. Esa colección puntualmente me pareció muy interesante, porque me encantaron las propuestas de Isabel mostrando la fusión perfecta entre el universo femenino y el toque masculino en sus siluetas. Amé las chaquetas perfectamente estructuradas, llamando todo la atención a los hombros exagerados de los años 80.
Esta colección Shangri La, fue inspirada en el Himalaya y la cultura tibetana. Pudimos ver unas siluetas fluidas basadas en las figuras geométricas, plisados y unos textiles ligeros ultra femeninos como seda combinados con cashmere o terciopelo.
MULIERR
Mulierr, since its first appearance at the Colombian market, this brand is worth following. It has a clear vision of what will be a tend in the next seasons and on this occasion showed us a unique, sophisticated and avant-garde style. If you like to play with fashion, but at the same time you are looking for a different proposal with a perfect tailoring, you must follow these two Colombians.
Mulierr, desde que apareció en el mercado colombiano, es una marca que vale la pena seguir. Tiene una clara visión de lo que viene de tendencia y nos demuestra un estilo único, sofisticado y vanguardista. Si te gusta jugar con la moda, pero a la vez buscas una propuesta diferente con una sastrería perfecta, debes seguir estas dos colombianas.
