Today I want to share with you my impressions after opening runway of Cali Exposhow 2016. This year Silvia Tcherassi open this fashion fair with the help of SP Pro introducing us her stunning collection “Women of Macondo”.
Runway took place in a magical place, the old railway station in Cali, where one could breathe the history. Silvia presented us her spring-summer 2017 collection inspired by Macondo of Gabriel García Márquez, telling the story via prints and ruffles.
It was a proposal full of love for all that represents the Caribbean mood, its landscapes, banana-growing areas, women and culture. Taking the words of Silvia this time she decided to dress women from the works of Gabriel Garcia Marquez, as she has imagined.
It was a collection full of ruffles and prints with landscapes and symbols of the coast, like yellow butterflies. All designs were very feminine, we could see some amazing skirts, perfectly designed shirts and stunning dresses, all played with textiles like lace, silk, neoprano and cotton and intense palette of colors like yellows, pinks, reds, greens and blues. And the final touch was in the earrings artisans in the region of Mompox.
I loved each piece!!!

The designs are definitely amazing! I agree that they're all quite feminine, but I really love the first one and the other dresses are stunning as well, with the play in ruffles and silhouettes. Love!
